Meet Ashley

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

M.ED., CCC-SLP

Hi! I’m Ashley Maturo, Speech Language Pathologist by day, Mom of 3 by afternoon/night! I have 3 kids under the age of 7 and find that I easily relate to my clients on a daily basis because we are all experiencing the “messy middle”! I was born and raised in Dutchess County, NY and moved to CT with my husband in 2018. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good thriller/mystery, and watching true crime shows on TV. I love DIY projects and almost majored in interior design before I fell in love with the field of Speech Pathology. I attended the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville, VA and have a profound love for my alma mater!

I opened my own private practice because I wanted more flexibility to spend time with my kids and to be able to do more of what I love. The field of Speech Pathology is so broad, and instead of being a “generalist”, I wanted the opportunity to specialize and develop my clinical skills in a specific area; speech sound disorders.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and my Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from UVA. I am trained in DTTC (Dynamic Temporal & Tactile Cueing) and PROMPT (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and continue to develop my clinical skills through continued education.

I have my state licenses in Connecticut and New York as well as my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the national professional American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your children. I can’t wait to see how my services can help change your lives!
